BDO in Armenia, in collaboration with Orion Worldwide Innovations, introduced the program as a continuation of our two and a half year Alternative Investments in Armenia initiative. This is an advisory and educational program designed to bolster your growth, resulting in the prosperity of the Armenian economy. The program and world-class international and local professionals’ team provided professionals and businesses with exploration on local, regional, and global investments trends and outlook; direct advice on legal, investment, regulatory, and fiscal/taxation matters.

BDO Armenia and Orion Worldwide Innovations implemented this strategic consulting and educational program to support the growth of Armenia’s economy. Participants will also have practical opportunities to establish connections and consult with experts.

The Power Consulting Days program brought together a world-class team of international and local experts to provide businesses with actionable insights into local, regional, and global investment trends. Participants received tailored advice on legal, investment, regulatory, and fiscal/taxation matters, equipping them with the tools to thrive in today’s dynamic economic landscape. BDO in Armenia and Orion Worldwide Innovations partnered to hold Power Breakfast sessions in Yerevan, Armenia in February and March, 2024. 

The key incentives initiative was organized to promote and support Alternative Investments in Armenia within our jurisdiction. These incentives aim to create a more robust and diverse investment landscape, fostering economic growth and innovation. We reached out to government officials, businesses, and universities to bring together experts, industry leaders, and stakeholders to explore and brainstorm on effective incentive structures that can propel Alternative Investments in Armenia.

Armenian Global Innovation Hub Project | 2018-2019

Orion Role: Co-Leader

The mission was to establish AGI Hub to empower Armenian tech startups, entrepreneurs to successfully enter the U.S. market, and accelerate their growth globally. Worked with the U.S. and Armenia organizations, Armenian government officials and ministries, Universities, Academy of Science, Startups, and VCs. 

This effort was followed by the establishment of BAJ Accererator and continued this effort as a collaboration with all those parties. Orion led the accelerator efforts in Armenia in a role representing East Coast startup ecosystem by opening an office in Armenia in June 2020.

Alternative Investments Flagship Product | Conference | Nov 2022

BDO in Armenia and Orion Worldwide Innovations partnered to hold a two-day international conference in Yerevan, Armenia from November 8^th-9^th, 2022 titled "Alternative Investments in Armenia".

The conference is dedicated to one of the most important areas of the financial and overall economic growth of Armenia: building international business partnerships and initiate collaboration with international bankers, investors and businesses. The Alternative Investments area has the power of enabling and recharging the economic growth of countries by fostering the flow of money into the economy to support innovation, increase productivity, and enable multi-generational and institutional capital management.

With the current state of the financial system’s development in Armenia and in the region, where the capital market is predominantly saturated with private debt (bank loans), and while the public markets are still evolving, the other sources of alternative investments, such as Private Equity, Venture Capital, Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), with institutional multi-generational Asset Management vehicles such as Family Offices, can play a vital role in the diversification and further development of the financial ecosystem, as well as for preserving, accumulating and transforming the wealth of our nation.

IP & Corporate Laws in Armenia | 2018-Present

Orion Role: Co-Leader

The Armenian Bar Association of the United States formed an IP/IT Committee in November 2018 with the
objective of facilitating the development of recommendations and solutions to address these key deficiencies.
The target audience includes government officials, including members of the National Assembly (the
“Parliament”); legal professionals; professionals in public and private businesses, including startups and
investors; academies of the sciences and universities; and other constituencies engaged with research,
development and innovation. 

Co-led the program Feb 2019-Nov 2019 and led October 12, 2019 Summit in Armenia: IP laws enforcement and enhancement solutions submission to the government of Armenia.

Neruzh | Program | 2018-2023

Orion Role: Implementing Partner, Speaker, Advisor, Judge | 2018-2023

Neruzh is organized by the Republic of Armenia’s Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs (2018) and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of Armenia (2019-Present). 

Orion Worldwide Innovations has joined the program in muliple roles and supported the cohorts, program partners, speakers and advisor.

Fortune 500 Investments| Research Project | 2021

Orion Role: Research and Partnership for Accelerator Foundation

Tech companies make up only 12% of the Fortune 500 list (this stat is true in 2024). up to 51% of all Fortune 500 investments in private tech companies since 2017 are coming from non-tech corporations.

This surprising dynamic drove our early research into how Fortune 500 companies engage with exponential technologies. The work opened doors and built trusted relationships with a wide range of partners: businesses, venture capital firms, universities, and entrepreneurs.

That ecosystem-building journey became the foundation for education program deep content development for BAJ Accelerator, bridging the gap between global corporations and breakthrough innovation.
